Certain groups of foreigners, Russians living abroad and immigrants can apply for state scholarships on the same terms as Russian citizens once they pass entrance exams or Uniform State Examination (EGE).Moreover, every year Russian government provides so-called ‘state-funded spots’ at universities to international applicants. In 2021, 18,000 such spots were granted.
The government scholarship includes:
- free tuition for the entire duration of the chosen programme;
- maintenance allowance (for the entire duration of study regardless of the candidate’s success);
- dormitory accommodation (if available).
The government scholarship does not include:
- travel costs;
- living expenses;
- voluntary health insurance policy.

- Online application in which applicants has to apply
- Updated and detailed CV
- English proficiency IELTS or TOEFL if applicants do not have this they can submit later but the application can submit without it
- If applicants have GRE results then they can also submit it but its optional up to the candidates
- Copy of all academic results or transcripts in English. Copies are enough but officially attested copies can be provided later after the submission of the Application
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply for the Canadian Government scholarship program.
- Applicants if applying for the master’s programs should have previous or graduation or equivalent degree for availably
- Applicants if applying for the doctorate programs they must have master’s or equivalent degree.
- No IELTS or TOEFL is required for the eligibility to apply to skoltech university at the time of submission of application.
